Hopi Ear Candles
This is an ancient natural therapy used by the Shaman healers and can be traced back to the native peoples of north and south America.
The client lies on his or her side on the therapy couch and the lit candle is gently held in the ear canal by the therapist. As the candle burns, the client will experience a pleasant crackling and rustling noise and comfort from the warmth produced. When the candle has burned down to a safety line, it is removed and extinguished. The process is then repeated for the other ear.
The treatment is completed by a gentle face and head massage.
Hopi ear candles may be used in the treatment of:
- headaches
- sinusitis
- hay fever symptoms
- compacted earwax
- stress
- tinnitus
The candles (hollow tubes) are made from pesticide-free, woven cotton which has been impregnated with honey extract, beeswax (100% pure), sage, chamomile and St John’s wart.
